Foz Do Lizandro
Portugal, 22nd June
The mist mingles with sunshine,
The sea salt touches the tongue,
And the world imagines itself to be…
Stupid and deluded…
A playful way to be in the world or a great confusion…
Life, the universe itself, a mysterious wonder that travels through us, as us.
It feels as if it’s working us, working for us on our behalf, pulling the beauty of the world through our flesh, guiding us, as if we are being gifted the grace of the way of the universe.
It’s as if the universe itself lives by a curious set of values, of principles, and when we align with those values, we are given the experience of ease and effortlessness.
Paths reveal themselves, people arrive to assist us.
It’s as if the universe wants us to have what we want, maybe even what we need, that which we don’t quite realize we want.
Then we get smacked in the face by the ‘world’ around us.
Have you ever felt that?
The Universal grace…
The World pretending to be…
Have you experienced this for yourself?
It may appear ridiculous to you for a moment, to differentiate between the universe and the world, but they are different, though composed of the same material as well as the same essence.
They are not the same.
The world is contained within the universe, but the world is not the universe.
It’s a conceptual designation.
In this way it doesn’t exist, the world.
Though it appears to…
It appears to exist because we say it does, because we look outside of ourselves and pointing, saying, “that is the world and it is, ‘like this’…”
And here we veer off the cliffs into delusion.
…into conceptualization and concrete designation…
Let’s split your mind apart for a moment.
If the world doesn’t exist than what is it that we mean when we say the world?
For example, the greatest membership in the world is called, “How To Get Everything You Want In A World That Doesn’t Want You To.”
How does that work if there’s no world?
Now we are in a strange way, aren’t we.
Let me share with you the wonder right now.
In fact if you’ve read any of the material on Questing The Unknown, you probably know exactly where this leads.
Here it is.
The world doesn’t exist.
Our ideas about it appear to exist, but only for as long as we hold them within the space of our mind.
They appear, but they do not exist.
…because you have agreed to an idea about the world and then taken that idea to be something real, hard, concrete, static and true.
In some sense the world is…
You must have experienced this for yourself many times over.
But if you haven’t, I will give you a simple way to experience what’s true.
But I am not going to do that.
“Ah Emeric, why do you have to be like that?”
I would be stealing from you.
Taking the opportunity for you to seek out the truth for yourself…
Here’s a simple example, when someone tells you about a place or a person, and they say, “You won’t like that place because ____________ or that person is like _____________,” And if you take those words to be true, you’ve basically killed the truth.
Nothing is anything that anyone ever says it is.
Let’s simplify this ‘idea’ even more.
Have you ever had a friend swear that a restaurant has the best, “pizza”, for example.
You try it and you think, it’s okay…
It’s not bad, but it’s nothing like…
Well people are doing that all day and night long, saying things like, “Johnny is like this, Sarah is like this. You can’t do that, because that’s not the way the world works.”
“That’s not the way the world works?”
Maybe not for you.
And so, we go…
Everyone arguing and fighting for their ‘ideas’ about how the world ‘really’ is.
Fighting themselves, fighting others, fighting over what isn’t, as if it actually is.
If you read this far, than you know there’s a deep truth living within the words shared here.
Take a few moments today and play with the ideas, the contemplations.
Experience for yourself, where you are making the world appear real in ways that are unhealthy, not helpful, and deleterious for you.
And if you want to shift your relationship with reality…
explore the possibilities…
By joining me.
I just released a new video from the cliffs of Portugal, discussing the power of perspective and how you can instantly shift the way you experience the world around you.
You can only get it through my mobile app..
